The Nikko is slightly slicker in some respects - the western influence is clear - but does not justify being over 5 times the price. If anything it's a better product, the spec is almost identical and it performs better. The Chinese import was priced at just over £10 including shipping. Any disappointment has been minor and oughtweighed by the good experiences.Ī good example would be the RC car my daughter bought - of equivalent quality to the £60 Nikko (also made in China) which I bought for my son from Argos. I've been buying (on eBay) toys for Christmas, bike parts, and audio all direct from Chinese sellers and not been stung once. Buying direct saves you a fortune and IME the risk is minor compared to the potential gains. In many cases it's of equivalent quality to the stuff that's been branded for a Western market and much much cheaper. These days it would be foolish to ignore the cheap Chinese stuff on Aliexpress and eBay. They look nice, and reasonably priced too. This Queenway unit looks decent, I like the fabric surrounds. There are several interesting looking ten inch full range drivers available from China. I've owned the Coral Beta 10's, they were amazing!
